In Pacific Tidelands I returned to my roots. The coastal tidelands are a place where land and water blur. The sky is heavy with shifting soft clouds. A wildlife sanctuary where shorebirds call and shadows and reflections move in a slow dance.
It was such a joy to paint this. It is so different from the desert that I usually paint. I had so much fun blending the soft violets and aquas. I could feel the cool coastal air and hear the birds call as I painted this.
