Anyone who lives in Southern Arizona knows that saguaros have unique personalities.  Here Mom & Dad hold hands while the teen distances himself off to the left because he is just too cool to be seen with his parents and younger siblings.

This is an Earth Reclaimed painting.  What does that mean?  I have some paints by Gamblin that they call reclaimed earth colors that are made from the run-off waste from mines.  They are beautiful earthy deserty colors.  I am inspired to create a series using them.  I add a little of one or more of these colors to each other color I use.  Then, just for fun, I go outside and grab a pinch of desert earth and sprinkle a kiss on the wet painting!
